COVID-19 Mask Tracking

using tweets pulled from Twitter, analyzing the theories and conversations surrounding mask-wearing within the United States in order to explore how debate occurs on social media.

researched food insecurity during the COVID-19 crisis with a specific focus on the Seattle area. 

Gender in HCI

January 2019 - April 2020

focused on gender and its relation to design within the human-computer interaction field, in particular where it is lacking diversity and inclusion and proposed solutions to the problem.

Creepy Tech

January 2019 - April 2020

analyzed technology for where it falls in the uncanny valley and theorized as to why some technology is “creepy” and other is not. looked at different groups and their responses to technology in order to try to find a universal truth. 

Critical Design

looked at design through a critical theory lens, read design theory papers, and designed weekly critical responses.
